I was a daily newspaper journalist by trade and am now an artist by inclination.
Words and a black, white and red colour scheme often recur in my work, harking back to headlines page layout and news stories, I suspect. Themes of precariousness recur along with images of flight prompted by the many real-world threats now confronting us. The tactility of cloth and paper is a comfort even when the conceptual driving force is grim. My work has been included in the Royal West of England Academy Annual Open and the Bath Society of Artists Annual Open. |
