My style is mainly pictorial. 
 
I like to use paint and stitch to make work which tells a story, or allows the viewer to use their imagination to decide what is happening.  I usually work in a series, maybe quite small, but will sometimes return to the theme at a later date.  Some of my work makes a point about the world we live in; other times I aim to be amusing.  My inspiration can come from my travels, words, emotions at difficult times – almost anything.  Ideas usually come when I am either walking my dog, or swimming, and may or may not lead to a series of work.
 
I am interested in various types of printing and collaging and will often incorporate these into my textile work.  I am also making an effort to consider the planet and will recycle fabric where possible and have recently been incorporating used tea bags, often printed, into my pieces.
